Large enterprises are at the forefront of EU service exports, playing a crucial role in the European Union’s economic landscape. In 2022, businesses with 250 or more employees contributed to 56% of the total service exports to non-EU countries. Their ability to leverage vast resources, extensive networks, and technological advancements gives them a competitive edge in international markets.
Meanwhile, smaller businesses are also making strides, with small enterprises (up to 49 employees) accounting for 14% of total exports and medium-sized enterprises (50 to 249 employees) contributing 10%. The remaining 20% of exports originated from businesses of unknown size.
